Vetting of Proposed Re-Accreditation Requirements Webinar
On May 18, 2009, NCLHDA conducted a vetting session to allow for comment on the proposed re-accreditation requirements. The comments collected that day will be compiled, along with any other comments received. The Board will accept comments until May 31st.

Framework of the Re-Accreditation Process Web Conference

This training is for those local health departments who are already accredited and are now planning to undergo the Re-Accreditation process. As you may know, the Accreditation Board decided not to finalize/approve the Re-Accreditation Requirements at their last Board meeting. The Board is hoping to gain more feedback concerning the Re-Accreditation Requirements from locals before they are 'set in stone'. Therefore, this web conference will not focus on the specific Re-Accreditation Requirements as they relate to the HDSAI. The focus of this web conference will be to to discuss briefly the changes that you can expect in the actual process. If you are unfamiliar with the accreditation process, we ask that you familiarize yourself and your staff by viewing the training held on March 24th for health departments preparing for their initial accreditation. PHAB Vetting Webinar Hosted by NC Local Health Department Accreditation

NC Local Health Department Accreditation facilitated a webinar vetting session on the standards for those health departments who were interested, on March 30, 2009 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Background information on PHAB as well as basic info on the standards were provided. Participants were given have an opportunity to provide feedback during the webinar as well. Feedback will continue to be accepted through April 30, 2009 concerning the PHAB proposed standards.  View the archived program.

NC Local Health Department Accreditation Annual Training - Web Conference originally presented March 24, 2009
This training is for those local health departments planning to undergo the Accreditation process in FY 2010 and FY 2011. The purpose of this training is to provide a broad overview of the Accreditation process. What you will NOT get out of this training is detail information about what documentation or evidence will help you meet each Activity within the Health Department Self-Assessment Instrument. But hopefully, you will gain some insight into what the process entails, who is involved, and what resources are available. View the archived program.
