Melodi Thrift is an Accreditation Program Assistant at the North Carolina Institute for Public Health.  Her main focus, the North Carolina Accreditation Learning Collaborative, is one of the Multi-State Learning Collaborative Leads for Quality Improvement supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

Melodi also supports the ASTHO funded project to develop a performance improvement toolkit and a companion consultation model that will be available to state health departments as well as providing support to the North Carolina Local Health Department Accreditation program. 

Prior to joining NCIPH, Melodi provided support to the Cytogenetics Laboratory at UNC Hospitals.  She has a very strong background in Administrative Support and she is very skilled at customer service as well as organizing and tracking data.

Melodi has completed numerous Microsoft Office courses and holds a certificate in Medical Machine Transcription from Central Carolina Community College. She has also completed classes at New Horizon’s Computer Learning Center, Vance Granville Community College, and Louisburg College.
