Northeastern and South Central Partnerships Awarded Funds to Implement Intervention-Based Chronic Disease Initiatives  

Congratulations to the Northeastern NC Partnership for Public Health (NENCPPH) and South Central Partnership for Public Health (SCPPH) for their successful applications to the Health and Wellness Trust Fund! The NENCPPH has been awarded $800,000 to implement their Diabetes Sentinel Project, a holistic, culturally competent diabetes and obesity prevention, education, monitoring and management program.  The SCNCPPH has been awarded $660,000 to implement The Sparrow Project to lift the burdens of cardiovascular disease and stroke within African American churches by teaching congregations how to live healthier lifestyles.
