Team Epi-Aid: Learning while helping

Team Epi-Aid
The 2009 national assessment of epidemiologic capacity conducted by the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists shows an erosion of epidemiologic capacity in state health departments, endangering these agencies’ ability to carry out essential public health functions. This epidemiologic need is even more pronounced at the local level. Team Epi-Aid, an award-winning service learning program administered by the North Carolina Center for Public Health Preparedness, is helping to fill that need. More...
