Novant Health Leadership Institute

Overview

In partnership with the University of North Carolina Institute for Public Health, the senior leadership of Novant has developed an innovative nine-month leadership development program for Tier III and Tier IV leaders. Novant executives typically are responsible for achieving results in a certain segment of the organization. Leadership Novant addresses a broader challenge: developing leaders with a global view of the organization who can help Novant meet the demands of an increasingly complex health care industry. Leadership Novant focuses on the future success of the healthcare system in achieving superior outcomes in quality, physician satisfaction, customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and financial viability.

The goals of the program are:

  • Long term individual development and application of skills and concepts, and
  • Long term organizational development and culture change.

High potential candidates were selected from Tier III and Tier IV directors, executive directors, and vice presidents based on goal accomplishment and completion of the DDI High Potential Inventory, among other criteria.
